Read MoreThis system was designed to replace exisiting roller glue applications feeding into rotary press or RF curing lines. System will take dry board and apply glue beads to one of both sides of a board. System can be run in either "variable mode" that will adjust to boards ranging in width from 3/4 to 6.0" or "fixed mode" for same width boards.
Apquip now offers two component meter mixers for use with melamine, EPI, resorcinol and most two part adhesives. The MM200 system can be built to your specific adhesive needs and is flexible to allow for change in delivery rate and ratio simply by inputing new setting on touch screen. Utilizing PLC and touch screen controls along with servo motors and progressive cavity pumps, Apquip provides a highly sophisticated piece of machinery that is easy to use and maintain. Wetted components vary according to compatibility with your two components. We also offer in line flow meters to constantly monitor ratio and flow rates.
Apquip has patented a system that utililizes luminescence sensors to detect the absence of adhesive for finger jointers with automatic corners. Many of todays high speed finger jointer users have a need to verify proper adhesive spread on finger jointed blocks. The Apquip system can identify insufficent glue, short fingers, knot holes and clogged cutter knives and send a signal to either mark or eject defective block.
Using vision system technology, we have also integrated glue detection systems for I-beam and lamination lines. Using high speed video cameras for viewing, we can teach the system what is a "good" application and what is a "bad" application and either accept or reject the board or block. Lighting and containment of viewing area are essential to vision systems.
Apquip offers many options for adhesive pressurization. From simple stainless steel pressure tanks, piston pumps, diaphragm pumps, gear pumps and meter mixers, we have a solution for your application needs. Type of pressurization is dependent on adhesive type, flow rates and application type. Please consult with an Apquip representative to help match your application to proper type of pressurization.
